Birthday Wish Fulfillment
Well Monday was my birthday, but I did not get anything on my list. What did I wish for?
A shagreen business card holder, more Jo Malone for my collection, SkinMedica’s new TNS Essential Serum and an autographed pic of former WEC Bantamweight World Champion, mixed martial artist, Miguel Torres.
Have you seen shagreen? It is such a gorgeous natural raw material, I am totally lusting after John Allen Woodward’s business card carrying case, $375. Those tiny natural enamel beads on the stingray skins are sensationally tactile, outrageously gorgeous and unsurpassed in sophistication. I would love to pull that out of my purse on any given occasion–if not for a keen business deal, then just to touch it.
Who doesn’t want to smell divine 100% of the time? I absolutely need a bottle of Jo Malone’s new English Pear and Freesia, and sadly I’ve run out of my Orange Blossom and Red Roses colognes, the two scents that compose my favorite fragrance combination…Hint, hint…
I am dying to try SkinMedica’s TNS Essential Serum, $250 for 1 oz., which comes highly recommended by M. Dean Vistnes, M.D., F.A.C.S. and founder of SkinSpirit in Palo Alto, California.
Thanks for hipping me to it, Dr Vistnes.
“There is no other single product that reverses the signs of aging skin as effectively,” Vistnes said in a recent email.
“It hydrates the skin, protects it from UV and free radical damage, and minimizes age spots,” he added.
The serum, which employs a combination of peptides, antioxidants and growth factors, among other skin-perfecting ingredients, Vistnes deemed “required” for all patients.
But, like I said, I didn’t get anything on my list…no lotions or potions, no accessories sourced from exotic animal skins…and sadly, not a word from Miguel Angel Torres.
Instead, I have been surrounded by nothing but complete love and consideration and sincere well-wishes from so many truly great friends and family.
I got nothing I had hoped for but everything I wanted. Thanks, everyone.

Just saw this. Yes, I do believe Essential Serum is one of the very best skincare products on the market that is available without a prescription. You won’t be disappointed! It’s one of the few products out there that has real science behind it.

Stingray skin card holder? Please think about the suffering your choices may cause. All animals feel pain and fear- do you really want to carry that guilt around along with business cards?
