How To Quit Smoking in 2013
Hi guys, if you’ll remember, quitting smoking was one of my 2012 Beauty New Year’s resolutions, and I did, in fact, kick the habit in May of last year. But how am I doing, now six months later?
I am so happy to announce that I have continued to be smoke-free and it was infinitely easier than nicotine patches, lozenges, gum, and Chantix! I’ve tried all of the above with no long-term success.
Dr. Roberta Temes hypnotized me via phone, and it took less than an hour plus a flat fee of 250 bucks for me to achieve this seemingly impossible goal. Smoking cessation through hypnosis may seem like a pricey gamble, but if you are anything like me, $250 is nothing compared to the cost of cigs for a month or two. And what I learned from Dr. Roberta is that everyone can be hypnotized, even if they think that they can’t. This is not hocus-pocus; it’s science.
Dr. Roberta is a psychotherapist with a Ph.D. in counseling psychology. Having practiced psychotherapy for more than 35 years in New York City, she is currently a faculty member at Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn. She is available for hypnosis by phone, and it really, really works.
In her book, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Hypnosis, above, Dr. Roberta outlines how hypnosis works, and why. She also reveals what a qualified hypnotist can do. In fact, Dr. Roberta has documented results improving performance in athletes and even helping with negative characteristics such as procrastination.
I really need to call her again, because I tend to procrastinate myself, but I just keep putting it off. Maybe some day I’ll finally get around to it.
