Hello, Gorgeous! Meet Makeup Artist Dick Page

I can only imagine that Dick Page, pictured above, was a precocious child and one of those kids in art class who always colored outside the lines. Nowadays, Page has made a career of coloring within the lines while thinking outside the box. He is an in-demand makeup artist on the runways for top designers such as Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs and Narciso Rodriguez.

Add to that impressive resumé a gig as artistic director of Shiseido since 2007, and you have nothing short of a legend. I am so excited to meet the legend, Dick Page, when he makes his only U.S. appearance of the year at Nordstrom San Francisco this Thursday, September 20.

The Only Rule

Unaffected by trends, Dick Page follows only one rule, and that rule is transforming faces into their own, unique, “general gorgeousness,” as he puts it.

Dick and his team of pro makeup artists will be providing color consultations and makeup application using Shiseido’s top products and newest launches for fall 2012. Part of the new collection includes a lacquer-inspired lip rouge that comes in eight deeply-pigmented shades.

As artistic director for Shiseido, Dick’s painterly eye influences the company’s global color collection. His passion for the art of makeup has resulted in what he calls “the ideal of a makeup line, including incredible colors, the finest textures, art and science in powerful cosmetic harmony.” We call it…brilliance.

Consultations are available by appointment only with a $100 reservation fee, redeemable for Shiseido products in the store the day of the event. Customers receive a professional photograph of their finished look in a keepsake frame, the first 100 signed by Dick Page himself!
