It’s That Time Again: The Tucson Gem & Mineral Show is Back

Hi guys! It’s me, your girl Shan. I’m so very excited that the annual Tucson Gem & Mineral Show is back in Arizona again this year, as am I! Yes, that’s right! I’ll be reporting from the front lines of this fabulous event, bringing you my favorite finds as we forage through a veritable treasure trove in the dusty Western town of Tucson! So saddle up, sistas! I’m absolutely stoked to show you every last detail on my jewelry journey.

Just look at this cool ring I found right out of the gate, my first day at the Gem Show. I’ve been preoccupied with purple lately, and if you’re reading my blog you know that it’s one of my prime predictions for fashion going forward! Therefore, I have rediscovered my love for amethyst stones. The amethyst ring shown above has a peekaboo window — a clear crystal cavity, if you will, inside the stone itself — which is mounted in a sterling silver setting. Can you see it? Look at the center of the stone. Isn’t it remarkable?

And it’s just one of countless curiosities. I am obsessed with geodes and druzies, as well as all kinds of jewelry AND people from around the world. I’ve already met vendors from Australia, Africa, India, Germany and Finland! I’m telling you: the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show is a world-wide draw and has some of the most fertile new ideas going in jewelry and gemstones…..and the prices are beyond compare!
