The Geometry of The Purse: Wickedly-Cute Handbags in all Shapes, Sizes and Price Points

Hi guys! The cutest bags are taking shape, quite literally, in fashion right now. Here’s a quick roundup of the most perfect circle, a total square, and…..a complete anomaly! So read on, dear fashionistas! For wickedly-cute handbags in all shapes, sizes and price points, read on!

A Complete Anomaly

I’m crushing so hard on Canadian couturier Sid Neigum’s modular origami bag, below, a sleek black calfskin purse inspired by the art of Japanese paper folding! Isn’t it the coolest? Seriously, what could be cooler? Can’t you just see this faceted little bag partnered with almost any summer ensemble? It is just too cute! The ideal stash for cash, phone, ID and a lipgloss!

It can be worn crossbody or — and how clever is this — like a teeny, tiny, itty-bitty backpack, below! Good things do indeed come in small packages, albeit expensive ones! If $943 USD seems a little steep for such a handsome triambic icosahedron, one might always opt for the most perfect circle instead.

The Most Perfect Circle

If you’re feeling blue and seeking cheap thrills, check out this arresting powder blue circle rope tote from Universal Thread at Target, normally $35.

I love the enormous, almost shocking scale of this easy fabric tote that’s dyed the softest shade of Larimar blue. Totally obsessed. And it’s now on sale until Wednesday for only $17.50 when purchased online! Are you kidding me? What a steal!

At under 20 bucks, this is some geometry that even I can afford to love! I scored this purse myself and wear it with indigo tie-dye, my blue batiks, and with white denim and chambray paired with my Gucci abalone lace-up sandals! This tote is so beachy-chic, hippichick and glam, all rolled into one. Way versatile. Way more versatile than one would expect. Another savvy shopping triumph!

A Total Square

Now here’s a total square that’s actually not so stodgy, not so stodgy at all! Feeling feline? For your consideration we have the adorable tiger-stripe train case, below, by HSN handbag designer, Patricia Nash. This is one cutie to covet! And what could be more au courant?

As you probably know, 2022 has been dubbed Year of the Tiger in the Chinese New Year; therefore, you will be seeing stripes for sure. Today we are honoring this exotic creature in the most ceremonious fashion! Patricia Nash has truly made tantalizing tiger a trademark with this adorable little leather-bound train case!

The cognac and black looks so contemporary right now. I love the petite, boxy silhouette and the striking gold hardware. Throw on the matching tiger-print scarf with an all-black ensemble…or don the like-minded leather cuff, below.

There’s even a matching umbrella. And I must confess….I own them all! Jajaja. I’m so bad. But I really love the quality, the design and the function of these stylish pieces!
