The Ultimate CC Product: Amore Pacific Color Control Cushion Compact
Back in September 2012 I wrote an article on my infatuation with a truly remarkable BB cream: Amore Pacific’s Moisture Bound Tinted Treatment Moisturizer SPF 15, $70 at Neiman Marcus stores…but now the new generation is out!–a phenomenal CC cream, Amore Pacific’s Color Control Cushion Compact. (Try saying that 10 times fast!)
OMG, this stuff is bomb! The company sells this product, what they call “Skin Care in a Compact,” every three seconds nationwide, which means that while you’re reading this, depending on how fast you read, of course, between 10-20 have already been sold…and now I know why!
Why? First, because it’s super hydrating and it actually cools the skin upon application. Second, it’s got a unique spongey consistency that translates into the most velvety airbrushed finish you’ve ever seen.
The application with this compact foundation is key–it must be stippled onto the skin–you can use the accompanying sponge (which is anti-microbial for hygienic use) or tap it on with your fingers or a foundation brush–but any way you slice it, its performance is very, very impressive and I love the way it looks on the skin. Simply beautiful. Throw in a broad spectrum SPF of 50+ and I’m all over it!
As we all know, South Korea’s got Seoul…but more importantly it boasts Amore Pacific’s own green tea farm, above, where the company harvests the plant at its peak for their awesome skin care products.
Green tea is an über-antioxidant that also naturally reverses pigmentation, brightens the complexion, and scavenges the free radicals that cause the collagen in the skin to break down, accelerating the aging process.
In addition to green tea extract, Amore Pacific also uses ginseng, which stimulates cell renewal, and hydrating bamboo sap–in lieu of water–to enrich their fabulous task-oriented line.
It’s this trinity of natural proprietary Asian botanicals that heal and comfort the skin topically. So you’re not just covering up problems; you’re preventing and reversing them. I love, love, love it! As they say in Korea, 아모레퍼시픽은 최상이야! or, “It is the best!”
If all that isn’t enough, 100% of proceeds go to skin cancer research at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the world’s oldest and largest private cancer center. And that, my friends, is precisely how Beauty Shall Save the World.
