The Peep-Toe Bootie
It all started innocently enough, when Miu Miu introduced the sexy peep-toe bootie above for spring/summer 2012. Since that time we’ve noticed a plethora of peep-toe booties in fashion, and why wouldn’t we? What’s sexier than a window of toe cleavage, red suede, and a towering 5-inch inverted heel?
Perhaps the answer to that question is Azzedine Alaia’s fabulous laser-cut suede platform peep-toe bootie above, also with a 5-inch heel, $1,270 at Neiman Marcus stores.
I also love this smart-looking Giuseppe Zanotti tobacco-colored suede peep-toe bootie, $1,250 at Neiman Marcus, with cutouts in front and back. With an oversized gold buckle and side zip for ease of dressing, these booties are as practical as they are gorgeous, looking great with jeans or leather leggings.
Laser Cut Shoes & Boots
We’re quite fond of the laser in sci-fi flicks, but what fashion is doing with the laser is our favorite function yet!
Check out this cut-out sandal by Brian Atwood, $425 at Neiman Marcus. Intricate laser-cut latticework renders this rich purple suede shoe a striking must for any well-heeled fashionista.
And I’m positively pining for Brian Atwood’s laser-cut open-toe boot, $1,750 at Neiman Marcus. The silhouette is divine, but the color–a brilliant, hot orange–makes a memorable impression on any diva. I would just love to add these sexy suede numbers to my shoe collection. My justification? Just because.
Tom Ford, we adore you for your innovative gladiator-inspired heel, $3,690. But girls, if you’re interested in this incredible sandal-boot hybrid, you had better get them now, because they are pre-order only at Neiman’s. They would look great on any woman with gorgeous gams and lots of gumption.
A slightly more wearable cage-style gladiator, above and below, by Jimmy Choo and Gucci respectively, would look fierce with any ensemble. More lingerie for your feet from Neiman Marcus.
