Black and White Animal Magnetism in Beverly Hills
While shopping in Beverly Hills last week, I noticed brave displays of black and white animal magnetism, like the Lanvin ensemble above from Neiman Marcus on Rodeo Drive.
I’m obsessed with the tiger print Lanvin boots, $2,890 at Neiman Marcus stores. The crystal-encrusted heel is haute couture at its finest.
Designers are taking bold risks with calf hair, embossing it with animal prints from leopard spots to zebra stripes. Styling now is audacious and fearless, with mixed animal prints. They can be worn easily from head to toe as seen in the top photo.
Check out these shoes by Tom Ford, below, $1,250.
I love the gold hardware accents and the cone-shaped heel.
Burberry Prorsum offers up a most unique dyed calf hair overcoat, $10,000 at Neiman Marcus.
But you need not spend a fortune to keep up with this current fashion trend. Try adding a pair of calf hair gloves or an animal print scarf to an all-black ensemble for just a splash of winter whimsy!
