The T3 Shower Water Filter for Beautiful Hair and Skin

Have you heard the rumors that Shannen Doherty and Demi Moore wash their hair in the expensive bottled water, Evian? Ironically, Evian spelled backwards is Naive, and yet, we couldn’t help but wonder if there’s some truth to these claims. Maybe the Hollywood beauties with the über-shiny locks are onto something?

It’s a fact that ordinary tap water can contain half as much chlorine as water in a swimming pool, and chlorine is a big hair enemy. It can make your tresses dry, brittle, frizzy and less than compliant.

Additionally, breathing hot steam laced with chlorine is not a good thing either; in fact, many health experts consider shower water filters more important than drinking filters because bathing produces the largest exposure of toxic chemicals.

Can you believe that within 10 minutes of a hot shower you absorb through your pores as much chlorine and disinfection byproducts as if drinking a gallon of unfiltered water? Plus, it enters the bloodstream more rapidly and increases blood levels of harmful chemicals by 700%!

Armed with that knowledge, I was totally excited to invest in the T3 Source Shower Filter, $150 at Nordstrom and Sephora. The T3 is clinically proven to make your hair more beautiful and enhance the vibrancy and longevity of hair color. In independent lab tests, hair washed in ordinary shower water was compared to the effects of hair washed in filtered water that was purified by T3’s patented filtration process, which removes up to 95% of chlorine.

Studies report a 64% reduction in frizz; 28% increase in body; 47% increase in comb-ability and 28% increase in shine. In addition, the T3 also removes iron oxide (rust) as well as dirt and sediment, which can leave your hair dull and lifeless. Plus, the softer water will even make your skin smoother and less dry!

Does it sound too good to be true? Well it’s not! I love my T3! I guess the ‘T’ stands for tourmaline, which is a mineral–black prismatic crystals found in granitic rocks–and they’re used in the filtration process. In addition, the filter uses the minerals zinc, copper and calcium to remove chlorine and to convert it into elements too large to be absorbed by your hair and skin. You can see the minerals in the refill filter below. Cool, huh?

The T3 comes with a two-year warranty that offers comprehensive coverage, telephone support and repair options, plus, in dark chrome it looks like a high-performance tool. Hmmmm, now if it just came with fortune and fame…Now that is too good to be true!
